Hoy he llegado al Mar de Aral. Bueno, lo que queda de él. En su día fue el cuarto lago más grande del mundo y en apenas unas décadas se ha reducido a menos del 10% de su tamaño original, por culpa de la agricultura intensiva. Ver los barcos pesqueros oxidándose rodeados de dunas donde antes había agua pone los pelos de punta

🇬🇧 Today I’ve arrived to the Aral Sea. Well, what’s left of it. In the past it was the fourth largest lake in the world and in just a few decades it has shrunk to less than 10% of it’s original size, because of intensive agriculture. Seeing the fishing boats rusting surrounded by dunes where there used to be a sea is really touching

Ahora ya puedo decir que estos últimos días he estado visitando Transnistria, una república independiente no reconocida a nivel internacional. Tuve que cruzar la frontera de forma ilegal xq lleva cerrada al turismo mas de un año, por eso no he comentado nada hasta volver a Chisinau. Me ha parecido un lugar fascinante

I had to cross the border illegally bc it has been closed to tourists for more than a year, that’s why I couldn’t tell anything. But now I’m back in Chisinau. What an amazing country!
